Active 3-way studio midfield monitor with rotatable mid/high section
There is news from the ABACUS Professional division: With the Mirra 14 enjoying growing popularity as a nearfield monitor since its launch, ABACUS has now pulled out all the stops to scale up its sonic characteristics to a \"truly grown-up\" level. The result is a near-series prototype of a 3-way studio speaker which, thanks to the 12-inch driver, should also provide sufficient pressure and euphony in full-blown studio or listening room constellations. At least that has already become clear from the prototypes with the working title \"Pivota 42\". To get an impression of what the new monitor loudspeaker can do, you should ideally come to ABACUS for a trial listening session, sign up for one of the test sets that will soon be available or study the feature list:
- Active 3-way midfield/main monitor with Dolifet amplifier technology
- Closed cabinet, electronically equalized low bass
- Mid/high unit can be rotated in 30° increments for upright or horizontal positioning
- Drill holes for the rubber feet in the sides (and of course at the bottom)
- 3-way Dolibox plate amp with either analog or DSP-based signal processing (Modular Plate Amp Youtube)
- Bridge power amplifier for the woofer (Bridged amplifier - Youtube)
- Large dome tweeter from the Mirra series
- 15cm midrange driver with phase plug for optimized dispersion characteristics
- 30 cm (12\") woofer from German PA specialist BMS with low resonance and long excursion, despite high efficiency and hard suspension
- Paintwork in textured black-grey or traffic white as standard
- RMS power: 350 W
- Tweeter: 30mm dome tweeter
- Midrange speaker: 150mm
- Woofer: 300 mm (12“)
- Frequency response (+-1,5 dB): 30 – 18.000Hz
- Frequency response (-6 dB): 19 – 20.000Hz
