The B22 ORCA is a 4-channel DAC designed for the B80 and B16 Mothership systems. Building on the legacy of the B26 ORCA, it uses Burl’s fully discrete, class-A analog circuitry with NextGen BOPA14 op-amps to deliver tight low end, high definition across the spectrum, and a realistic 3D stereo image while preserving the harmonic integrity of the source. Two mix/mastering-grade DAC channels feature switchable BX5 output transformers for routing to headphone amps, mastering chains, or analog processing. Two additional DAC channels feed the monitor section, which includes dual stereo speaker outputs and a dedicated headphone output. When paired with modules such as the B4 MIC/LINE or BAD4M, the B22 ORCA provides a versatile monitoring and conversion solution, from compact audiophile desktop rigs to professional 4-in/4-out mastering setups.
