The PM 4040 is a cost effective solution for high quality near field monitoring. The stereo set comprises a pair of monitors, one active and the other passive. The cabinet material is MDF and the front baffle has a unique moulded shape. The 1 inch silk dome neo-magnet tweeter is nested in an elliptical custom waveguide for a smooth response and wide directivity in horizontal plane but controlled directivity in vertical plane. The LF is a 4” glass fibre cone woofer. The system is powered by a 2 channel class D amplifier. The resulting sound is detailed with a wide sweet spot and frequency response at appreciable loudness.
