The SONOSAX SX-ES64 and SX-ES84 are high-end, compact, and lightweight audio mixers designed for professional use in film, television, and music production. With 6 (ES64) or 8 (ES84) input channels and four fully independent mix busses, they offer the ideal solution for field recording, OB vans, post-production studios, and live events. Their ergonomic layout, intuitive control surface, and remarkably low weight make them perfectly suited for use on location—even as carry-on luggage during travel.

Both models feature electronically balanced, transformer-less inputs and outputs, ultra low-noise microphone preamps based on semi-discrete technology, and comprehensive input control with individual limiters, phase inversion, and 48V phantom power. An optional 3-band semi-parametric EQ and configurable direct outputs (Pre-EQ, Post-EQ, or Post-Fader) provide exceptional routing flexibility.
The dual monitoring section includes two independent stereo paths, LED meters on each channel for precise level and overload monitoring, and a private line for communication with production crew or director. A reference tone oscillator and built-in slate/com microphone ensure fast and efficient communication on set.
Power can be supplied via internal batteries or external DC source (6–18 V), and the unit is engineered to operate reliably even in challenging environments. Faders and switches are rated IP45, resistant to water splashes and rugged use.
For digital workflows, an optional A/D converter enables AES/EBU digital output of individual channels and main outputs 1 & 2.
